What is the best way to decorate my college dorm walls when the walls are made of brick?

The walls of my dorm are made of cement bricks painted over in white. It reminds me of a jail cell. How can I make it more cozy and comfortable? And will vinyl wall art work?

go for lots of texture and prints on your bed and sofa to draw interest. you can also wallpaper or fabric line some wooden panels and just lay them up against the wall since you can’t really nail anything down. vinyl art would work too

Most dorm rooms are pathetic like that which is why duct tape is on most college shopping lists it will stick to the painted brick so you can hang stuff up. If yo want to go vinyl wall art give it a shot but the texture will be bumpy not smooth like if you were applying to drywall surface.

Lots of choices here to fill whole walls: http://www.stumpsparty.com/catalog.cfm?cat=47428
there is something called scene setters. They are cheap plastic murals used mostly for parties. Sometimes they are single pieces, sometimes you have to attach pieces to make the scene.
Check online to see all the different ones you can buy. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/186-3753080-7554034?asin=B001EWWYHA&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B001EWWYHA&CPNG=&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001
